1. My Holy Grail Foundation - Estee Lauder Double Wear.

Finding the right foundation is probably one the hardest things to do when it comes to securing your make-up essentials. I have personally tried and tested over 10 different foundations with each having their faults. But I have finally found my Holy Grail Foundation. At £27.50 for a 50ml bottle many would cringe at the price tag. But Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation has an lightweight and matte formulation which creates an unique look on the skin. The product promises to “stay-in-place” for up to 12 hours and provide a SPF 10 sun protection.

From personal experience I can definitely say that the product lives up to its promises. The foundation stays on my skin throughout the day and keeps it looking fresh with its matte finish. I couple this foundation with MAC Prep and Prime and Mac Mineralized Skinfinish Natural to give the foundation that extra boost to stay in place all day and into night.

With regards to application, you can use a foundation/stippling brush or my preferred method is to use my fingertips. Using your fingertips helps to blend the foundation in evenly and the added warmth from your fingers stops any streaks occurring.

This foundation comes in over 20+ shades and is perfect for all skin tones and types. I often struggle with redness on my cheeks and this foundation covers it perfectly without feeling like I have caked it on.

  2. Get The Look - Eleanor Calder Curls

In this blog post I will talk about how to recreate Eleanor Calder gorgeous curly hairstyle. I will outline two different techniques which you can use to help you recreate her look.

    1st Technique:

    Hair Tools/Products Needed:

    - Curling hair wand

    - Salt spray

    - Wide tooth comb

    - Hair spray

    1) Part your clean hair into a middle parting.

    2) Section off your hair into equal sections. Then using your curling iron curl each section into tight ringlet curls.

    3) Once you have curled all of your hair use your wide tooth comb to brush through the curls so that they become very loose.

    4) Spray the salt spray all over your hair. Then use your fingers to spread the product evenly into the your curls. You want to scrunch your curls so you get a messy bed head look. This will give your hair a more natural curl matching Eleanor’s.

    5) Then finish your hair look off with a touch of hair spray to keep the curls in place all day long.

    2nd Technique:

    Hair Tools/Products Needed:

    - Thin hair ties/bands

    - Dry shampoo

    - Hair Spray

    1) Part clean wet hair into a middle parting. Then section your hair into two equal sections.

    2) Then plait each section into a fish tail braid and secure each with a hair tie. So you will now have two fish tail braids either side of your hair.

    3) You can now either grab a hair dryer and blow dry each braid until they are dry or you can just leave them to dry naturally.

    4) Once each braid is dry you need to untie them and then using your fingers scrunch your newly curled hair so it falls naturally.

    5) Now grab your XXL Dry Shampoo and spray it into the roots of your hair. Then using your fingers scrunch the roots of your hair adding volume. If you wanted more added volume you can use a brush and tease your roots. This is going to create Eleanor’s signature volume roots.

    6) Now the look is finished feel free to add some hairspray to keep it in place.
